Here at White Magnolia Candle Co., all of our candles have been carefully tested to avoid this issue. However, there are many factors that goes into how candles will burn in your home. Whether, it's the size of the room, ceiling height, humidity outside as well as other smells that are already present in your home. Also, take into consideration of the specific scent, certain scents aren't as fragrant as others. For example, 'vanilla' scent throw isn't as strong as 'cinnamon' scent throw. Every person's nose smells scents differently, we fragrant our candles how we feel best. We're confident that any candle or wax melt that you receive from White Magnolia Candle Co. will leave you satisfied!

What length should I keep my cotton wick?

We recommend trimming your cotton wick to 1/4" before lighting your candle. Doing this keeps the candle from producing large flames, which could possibly lead to 'soot' around the vessel.

How long should I burn my candle?

We recommend burning your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time for maximum quality and longevity.

Why did my candle tunnel?

One of the most common reasons for a candle to tunnel is due to the first light. Allow your candle to burn long enough so the melted wax on the surface can reach the edge of the jar. We recommend letting your candle burn for 2-4 hours--depending on size.

How do I clean my candle vessel after I'm finished burning it?

Soak the Mason Jar for a few minutes in warm water, this allows the cotton wick to become easily removable. Then you'll use warm water & soap to clean it up. Now your Mason Jar is good & clean, it's ready to become something new! Good news- you're now ready to purchase another White Magnolia Candle Co. Candle!

Which size candle is recommended for small & large spaces?

To get the most out of your White Magnolia Candle Co. Candle, we highly recommend using our 8 oz. candles for small spaces (bathrooms, bedrooms or offices). Our 12 oz. & 16 oz. candles are best used for bigger open spaces (living rooms, kitchens or dining rooms).

Do you offer wholesale?

Yes, we offer wholesale! Go to our 'Wholesale' tab & read the terms & conditions. If you're still interested, fill out the 'Wholesale Application Form' & we'll get back to you within 2 business days!

My wick went out, what should I do?

We recommend burning your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. If you burn your candle longer than 4 hours, you're at risk of your candle possibly going out on its own. The reasoning is that the melt pool will get extremely deep & the wick is trying to keep up with the heat. This may cause the flame to extinguish itself. Don't worry, just let your candle dry & re-light it. Your candle will be as good as new!
